Free pediatric functional medicine consultation · 15 minutes
A 15-minute call to find out if we can help.
This consult is for listening, a few focused questions, and honest guidance about fit and next steps.
What it is.
A 15-minute video or phone call to understand what’s happening with your child and to talk through fit. No payment. No commitment. No high-pressure pitch. The consult exists for one reason: to make sure both sides start the relationship informed. It helps you avoid booking and paying for an initial intake before you know the fit, and it gives you a lower-stakes entry point when the full clinical path feels like a big step. Fifteen minutes solves both.
Scope of the consult.
- Fit and next steps. We listen to the broad story, ask focused questions, and explain the starting point that makes sense.
- Clinical care begins with the intake. Symptoms and pattern recognition, individualized recommendations, care plans, and testing require a formal visit with enough time to take the full history.
- Referral guidance when another path fits better. If another practitioner, specialist, or urgent level of care belongs first, we will say that clearly.
What to bring.
You can keep prep simple, we will ask the questions. It helps if you have:
- A short timeline of when symptoms started and how they have evolved.
- Any prior labs or specialist notes you have on hand (no need to upload them; just have them available).
- Two or three specific questions or concerns you most want addressed. If your child’s situation is complex (multiple conditions, several specialists, long history), the consult can stay high-level. The full clinical picture comes in the intake.
Who should start here.
Any parent considering pediatric functional medicine for their child, including families still wondering whether the framework applies. We support infants, children, and teens through age 18. Common reasons families start with the consult:
- Their child has chronic symptoms that still need a clear explanation or practical plan.
- They want to look at gut, immune, or environmental drivers before committing to medication.
- They have done research on functional medicine and want to know what working with us would look like.
- They want guidance on whether functional medicine is the right framework before investing the time and money in care. All of those are reasonable. The 15 minutes is enough to give you a clear next step.
What happens after.
If we are a fit, we will explain how to book the first full visit, what the visit length and cost will be, and what to expect. We will share the practical logistics, scheduling, telehealth vs. in-person, payment, HSA/FSA, and what to prepare. If another path fits better, for example acute-level care for an immediate medical problem, a condition outside our scope, or a geography issue, we will point you toward where to look. We have referral lists for PANS/PANDAS specialists, integrative pediatricians in other regions, and adult functional medicine practitioners for parents who realize during the consult that they want care for themselves. Kim takes confidential notes during the consult for internal documentation. There is no charge, no commitment, and no follow-up sales contact unless you ask for one.
